We are proud to present our 2012 scholarship award of $1,000 to Dakota Johnson. He is attending Feather River College in his home town, Quincy, CA. After completing general ed. units, he plans on tranferring to the University of Idaho or the University of Montana-Western to obtain a degree in Wildlife management, with an emphasis on waterfowl management. Upon obtaining a B.S. degree, he wants to work as a wildlife conservation officer or waterfowl biologist in either Montana, Idaho, or the Dakotas. The inspiration for this is to follow in the footsteps of his Great-Grandfather who was game warden for the state of California. This picture shows him working on a senior project at mentor, Michael Nesbit's, carving shop. Dakota completed and then donated the Ruddy decoy to the Quincy Youth Shooting Sports Association to raise money for their youth trap shooting program.
